This blog is about me. O RLY.
- I spend most of my non-work time consorting with the Borg collective but when I’m not on the Interwebz, I enjoy snowboarding, playing piano, performing Wushu, reading, drawing, backpacking/camping, and singing in the car (Yeah, I am THAT person; neither tone-deafness nor consideration for others stops me from singing. NO SHAME.)
- I can quote (and sing), verbatim, the entirely of Baz Luhrmann’s “Moulin Rouge” with about 80% accuracy.
- My namesake is a mistake; I was named after Ray Peterson’s song titled “Corrina, Corrina“, but my Chinese dad failed in distinguishing the phonemes “L” and “R”.
- My Taiwanese friend’s dad called me “Gorilla” for 2 years before he learned to pronounce my name correctly.
- I am self-conscious of being self-conscious, which subsequently makes me terribly awkward. I imagine my love life will resemble something like that of Michael Scott and Holly’s and will be full of awkward Office-esque moments. Oh God.
- During an essay test on The Iliad and Greek mythology in high school senior year, I could not remember neither the spelling nor pronunciation of the mythological individual “Sisyphus” and resorted to naming him the familiar-sounding “Syphilis”. Upon passing back tests, Ms. Lindsey read my test aloud to all my friends and peers in all 5 class periods. Wow.

Hey Kolina,
I found a foodie website with a recipe for Vietnamnese sandwiches. Seems interesting, though I don’t have time to cook something like this at the moment. Maybe you can try out the recipe when you’ve got some time.
